Aerin Frankel broke the league record for most shutouts in a regular season for the third time on Saturday against the New York Sirens. The 26-year-old goaltender recorded her eighth shutout of the season, extending her scoreless streak against the Sirens to 130 minutes and 54 seconds.
Frankel made 16 saves in the first period to help the Boston Fleet secure a 4–0 victory over New York.
A New York native, Frankel is wrapping up her second season with Boston and ranks second overall in save percentage among the league’s starting goaltenders. In 2025, she signed a two-year contract extension with the Fleet that will keep her with the team through the 2027–28 season.
Boston finished second overall and will face the Ottawa Charge on Thursday, April 30, in its first playoff game.
